DR MISSION 2017 MAY 20-27, 2017 APPROX. COST: $1300-1400 PER STUDENT DEADLINE TO APPLY: February 1, 2017
Next May, New England InterVarsity is partnering with ADEE (Asociacion Dominicana Estudiantes Evangelicos) for a one week multi-campus outreach in the DR. We would like to send 3-4 teams (1 per division) of 4-6 staff and students to work with ADEE to reach out to outlying campuses they are hoping to increase their presence on.
One of the goals of the trip is to continue partnership with InterVarsity’s sister organization ADEE (IFES DR movement) to expand their ministry, train students and at the same time expand the vision of New England staff and students in planting.
Partnership with IFES A strong partnership is forming after four years with ADEE and the Hispaniola Global Issues Internship and we hope to expand our relationship by bringing more NE staff and students to help replant some campuses in the DR.
The Dominican Republic has forty nine institutions of top education, between universities and specialized Institutes. Those of major population have more than one enclosure in several localities of the country, for example the university of the State. The DR has around 500,000 university students according to statistics of this year.
The desire of ADEE is to reach outlying campuses. The groups, if any, are totally student, alumni, faculty or volunteer run. Let’s help them reach new campuses or further onto the University of Santa Domingo which has over 100,000 current students!!
