GETTING READY TO HIT THE ROAD
KRUP 2012 Packing list:
Pack ONE suitcase, backpack or dufflebag
and a Small BACKPACK to carry on the bus with the following:
*Money for meals and snacks during transit.
*Government-issued photo ID
*Clothing, including:
- Work pants and shirts (including at least 1 long-sleeved shirt)
- Work boots or closed-toed shoes (NO sandals for work)
- Work gloves
- T-shirts, underwear and socks
- Hat and/or bandana
- Sunglasses
- Clothes for dinner out in New Orleans
- Jacket or long-sleeve shirt/sweatshirt ( It can get cold)
- Sleepwear
- Work out clothes (shorts, etc)
- Flip flops or shower shoes.
- rain jacket
- Towel
- Soap & toiletries
- Medications
- Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket for bunk bed
- Pillow
- Alarm clock and flashlight
- Plastic bag for dirty clothes & shoes.
- Sunscreen (SPF 15+),Insect repellant, hand sanitizar
- Notebook & pen
***Hammer, tape measure, carpenter’s pencil and wallboard knife (If you have these)
PLEASE NOTE: There may not be facilities to lock up valuables. Bring at your own risk:
- Cameras
- Credit cards
- Cell phones/IPods/computers (no internet available)
Finances:
All housing, work related items, meals, and local transportation in New Orleans are included in your fee. Also, Charter Bus transportation is provided. You will be responsible for transportation to the bus pickup points, transportation to the airport, and all meals on route to New Orleans.
You should bring money for one dinner out in the French Quarter and any souvenirs.
If you are flying you are responsible for any baggage fees.
Immunizations:
Make sure your Tetanus vaccination is current.
